We are closing in on the big day, one month from tomorrow. We have tickets currently on sale online here at gembeachrocks.com. You can also buy tickets in person at the Gem Beach Marina Store, Port Clinton Friendship Food Stores and the United Way office located in the Sutton Center. Get yours today and tell all your friends! We have a great selection of food to go along with the iced cold beer and sodas. We will be serving perch sandwiches and french fries, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken dinners with all the fixins, slices of pizza and for dessert funnel cakes and ice cream novelties. We will also be doing a "gem" of a raffle with delicious homemade cupcakes. But there is no need to worry about the waist line because we will give you the opportunity to burn off those calories with rousing games of musical chairs and of course dancing to the great bands playing rock and roll! We are fast approaching Sept 18th and this years Gem Beach Rocks event. The musical line up this year is fabulous and guarantees a good time for everyone. We have some great raffle items for this year. A time share in Myrtle Beach, a sightseeing plane ride over the islands , AND (wait for it.....) an autographed guitar from Ottawa County's most famous musical talent CRYSTAL BOWERSOX. We have had a tough year in Ottawa County. The economy is coming back slowly. Mother nature sent some challenging weather earlier in the summer with the tornadoes that devastated some of our neighbors, but as always this community rises to the occasion and helps those in need. The Gem Beach Rocks event benefiting the United Way gives us the ability to continue to help those in need through it's fundraising efforts and it gives us the opportunity to celebrate and share a day of fun with others in our community. Gem Beach has been a place of joy for so many generations, let's continue the tradition by coming together on Sept 18!
